George and Leon's is one of my favorite spots to stop in for lunch or dinner. It's great both solo or with friends. The staff has always been so nice, funny, and helpful every time I've been here. I love having a spot that is both casual with booths and a fun menu, and also has a full bar. Want it to go? Fine. Wanna stay and have 5-7 beers? Always fine! My favorite things to get are the Jr. Beef (perfect size for me), chicken finger sub, cheeseburger sub, big salad, broccoli bites and onion rings. Not all at the same time haha. Coming for dinner tonight with a friend for their first time and have been thinking about it all day <3 Long live the beef!
A horror lover's beefy dreamland. Classic horror flick memorabilia abounds, paired nicely with a side of subtle rock n roll ambiance are the perfect setting for the best roast beef sammy you've ever had this side of Mass. I "murdered" a Super Beef sandwich complete with a generous portion of expertly shaved, rare roast beef, smothered and covered in melty American cheese, Duke's classic mayo, and a cascade of the succulent house BBQ sauce artfully layered between a toasty onion roll. As if this wasn't enough, we couldn't help but try a side of golden, perfectly crispy brussel sprouts drizzled with a sweet and tangy balsamic vinegarette and an order of G & L's hand battered, delightfully seasoned onion rings. Truly a meal fit for champions (or a couple of fat guys on their way to a Mariner's game). Couple these earthly delights with one of G & L's many craft brew selections and that's the perfect dining experience right there. Locally owned and operated, you can't go wrong at this soon-to-be classic Maine eatery.
The Jr Beef sandwich was plentiful. It wasn’t over sauced which I appreciated.. Food came fast and hot. Onion rings were delicious. You order at the counter and find a table, food came fast and was obviously fresh and hot. The decor was quirky and the bathroom is worth a trip 😂.
This is such a unique place in Westbrook! Delicious beef, super friendly staff, and the interior is a whole vibe. Love having George and Leons in our neighborhood!
Westbrook has been so blessed to have such an amazing beef spot! Staff is always so welcoming, consistently good food, have been to and been apart of events here for people of all ages! Fun place for the kids as there’s games and pin ball!!! Grateful for George and Leon’s being a community based space for us to eat and connect.
Hard to find good roast beef this far north but G&L's delivers! Also love how diverse their menu is, with something for everyone, though I always go for the beef. Staff is always friendly and service is fast, a must-visit when you're in the area and want to support a neighborhood restaurant that supports the local community and has genuine values!

George and Leon’s has been on my list for a while because I’m gluten free and they have a GF bun. I got the Jr sandwich which was still huge and delicious! Melt in your mouth tender roast beef. Easy casual dinner spot, easy parking. I’ll be back!
What a great experience. I was a little thrown off by the eclectic 70’s 80’s horror movie theme. Made it more interesting. Counter ordering followed by table delivery & service. Very friendly and accommodating servers. Always checking in. Super Beef with mayo cheese and a Coke. At first the meat looked a little off medium rare, but every bite was tender, warm and perfectly seasoned. Every bite was equally as good as the last. It wasn’t overly busy so I was wondering if they were going to be on point. They were. Delicious.
Best roast beef sandwiches I've had. Absolutely delicious and flavorful. Jr Beef's are BIG, super beefs are huge. I had a 4-way Jr beef which includes onion rings on top... oh my god, to die for. The onion rings have great flavor and not thick coated batter. Waitress was awesome and a SPECIAL BIRTHDAY SHOUT OUT to her. Met the owner, very nice guy. Best of all.....the Halloween decorations are great, especially in the bathroom 😁🤯
